Welcome to my page! I am Anna Gadzalinska. Have a look at my work. If you have any questions contact me.

My name is Anna Gadzalińska, originally from Poland, born in 1982. My first visit to the Netherlands took place in 2014, and since then, I have made this beautiful country my home. The Dutch landscapes and the renowned Dutch skies were images I had vividly imagined as a child, and now I experience them in reality.

Although I began painting relatively recently, I have always felt like an artist at heart. As a child, I spent much of my time painting, and my work was frequently praised at school. My lifelong dream was to attend an art academy, but life took a different turn. Unfortunately, I had to set aside this dream and pursue my parents' wishes instead—I became a hairdresser.

For many years, I successfully ran my own salon, where my clients' hair became my canvas. Using refined cutting and coloring techniques, I transformed hairstyles into artistic creations. In this way, I found a way to express my artistic soul and kept my love for painting alive, even if indirectly.

However, this chapter ended when I moved to the Netherlands. Initially, I focused on learning the Dutch language and worked for various companies in production roles. Unfortunately, due to illness, my ability to function became severely limited. This led to both physical and mental exhaustion, resulting in withdrawal from life, deep sadness, and a lack of self-confidence.

Then something remarkable happened. My illness brought me back to my long-neglected love for painting and reconnected me with my true artistic nature. I met people who supported me in rediscovering this passion. I now realize that what you truly love never leaves you, and even if it fades into the background, it will always find its way back to you. Painting fills me with love, joy, and hope, and it has helped to heal my sorrow. What began as a lifeline during difficult times has become a source of personal growth in all areas of my life. Life regained its color and began to smile at me once again. I resumed art classes, found inspiration in the work of other artists, and began painting whenever I could. This led to my first exhibition, which I organized at a Polish school in Amsterdam with the help of my friends.

Regarding my work: I am fascinated by palette knife painting, but I also explore other techniques such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, dry and oil pastels, pencil, and charcoal. I love to experiment and am deeply drawn to color and texture. I paint from the heart, drawing inspiration from the world around me, as well as my personal experiences and those of others. My interests span abstract forms, structure, color, emotion, landscapes, and portraits.

I am eager to continue developing my craft and sharing my work with others.

Welcome to my world!
